Biography

The youngest No. 1 in the history of the game

Born in Mojados, Valladolid, in 2002, Coello came up through partnerships with Miguel Lamperti, Javi Ruiz and finally Fernando Belasteguín, with whom he won his first titles in 2022. That autumn he paired with Agustín Tapia, and in October 2023, at 21, he became the youngest world No. 1 in padel history.

The pair has led the ranking through 2024, 2025 and 2026, winning the Rome and Paris Majors this season. Coello brings the reach, the smash and the net presence; with Tapia's creativity beside him it has become the most dominant partnership of the Premier Padel era.
